Tremont Waters, the top rated player left in New England's 2017 class, requested a release from the National Letter of Intent he signed with Georgetown during November's Early Signing Period on Saturday. The news was first reported by ESPN. Waters initially announced his commitment to Georgetown during an October press conference. Holderness School senior forward Daniel Cabassa made a verbal commitiment to Post University last Thursday, accepting a full athletic scholarship offer from the NCAA division II school. The 2017 National Prep Championship tipped off on Wednesday at Albertus Magnus College with opening round and quarterfinal action.
