Elite 75 Returns Sunday
The Elite 75 Showcase will return on Sunday with two different events.
First, the third annual Elite 75 Academic Experience will take place with top academic prospects from around the region and beyond coming together to play in front of a staff comprised exclusively of college coaches with Amherst, Babson, Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, Connecticut College, Hamilton, Middlebury, Sarah Lawrence, Trinity, Tufts, Wesleyan, and WPI all represented.
That is likely going to be just the tip of the iceberg as additional college coaches are invited to attend free of charge and provided with a complimentary coaches packet, guaranteeing exposure for all those prospects in attendance.
The Elite 75 Academic Experience is as much about education as it is exposure though and so when the participants aren't completing on the floor, they'll be learning about various subjects including the admission process at high academic schools, financial aid, and much more.
With only a select few number of spots available, registration for the Elite 75 Academic Experience will remain open throughout the day on Saturday or until the event sells out completely.
The second event of the day will be the 9th annual Junior Elite 75 Showcase, featuring some of the best young talents in the region. This year's Junior Elite 75 Showcase will have a number of new twists. First and foremost the staff will be comprised almost entirely of current prep school coaches, many of which were former college coaches like Milton Academy's Lamar Reddicks, St. George's Dwayne Pina, Cushing Academy's James Cormier, Lawrence Academy's Kris Johnson, and many more.
The showcase schedule will include advanced skill instruction as well as a number of speakers and informational sessions including topics on the choice between prep, public, and private schools and new NCAA Eligibility Center requirements that all incoming high school students and parents need to be familiar with. Additionally, every player in attendance will receive a profile in the new NERR Junior Elite Division prospect database.
Similar to the Academic Experience, registration for the Junior Elite 75 Showcase will remain open through the day until all spots are filled.
