Connecticut 2027 Ranking Drop

We continue on with our first release of the 2027 state by state rankings today with a look at what Connecticut has to offer.

The current sophomore class in the state has a ton of high-upside prospects. As always, rankings are fluid and subject to change, so this one may look a lot different down the line.

Here’s what we have at the moment.

Kamsi Awaka starts the ranking at the top spot as the Cheshire Academy big man has really built a reputation for himself. He’s 6’9, has tremendous upside and a handful of mid-major offers already.

DJ Hawkins comes in second as the St. Thomas More wing’s potential has been very evident despite missing time this season with injury. Hawkins is a 6’6” wing with tons of athleticism and room to keep growing his game.

Following Hawkins is Greyson Pierce at the third spot. The Loomis Chaffee 6’7” wing has taken his big season with Expressions into the winter, contributing as a top option for his prep squad.

The fourth and fifth spots are filled by Avon Old Farms wing Declan Griffiths and Windsor guard Missoni Brown. Griffiths outside shooting and is starting to attack the rim. Brown is a physically imposing guard with winning experience under his belt as a freshman.

Hotchkiss 6’8 wing Milos Vasic takes the sixth spot as his versatility on both ends of the floor is impressive. Notre Dame Fairfield’s Josh Charlot follows him at seven as the point guard’s stifling on-ball defense and command of the floor turns heads.

6’5 sophomore Curtis Marshall lands at eighth. Marshall made a state championship last season as a vital piece for St. Bernard’s, and has shown great progression thus far.

Rounding out the top ten are Westminster wing Sonny Batchelor and Windsor High guard Ji Gary. Batchelor brings size and scoring to the position with notable skill. Gary is another promising guard for Windsor with a shifty handle, speed and vision.
