Commitment Catch-Up: Martin is D1 Bound
Lost amidst the suffle of a busy week last week was the verbal commitment of Weaver High School senior Chaylyn Martin to Sacred Heart as part of their 2018 class.
Martin intends to do a post-graduate year following his graduation from Weaver this June.

Martin and his brother Jaecee, have been the foundation of one of the most succesful team's in the CIAC in recent years as Weaver had advanced to three consecutive state championship games before falling in the Class LL quarterfinals over the weekend.
Martin, who is best known for his explosive athleticism and strong motor, averaged 16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and almost 5 assists per game in his senior season.
He is also a longtime product of the Connecticut Basketball Club, having come up with CBC since middle school.
