2026 Bridgton Prep Profile

The Wolverines of Bridgton Academy are a unique program in AAA of the NEPSAC in that the team is basically a brand new roster on a yearly basis. This year, on top of the roster being infused with transfer talent, the coaching staff has a familiar face now leading the way in Paris Horne. The Wolverines will play this season in honor of their longtime head coach, Whit Lesure, who passed away suddenly last winter.

Returners & Familiar Faces

Oliver Allersted is the only player who appeared for Bridgton last year and will suit up for the team once again this season. A 6’4” wing, Allersted brings a physical build to the court with the ability to score it off the bounce and play competitive defense. He will likely be a key piece this year.

Naiem Gill has developed right in front of our eyes over the past few years, and has kept putting it all together. The guard from Platt HS in CT has unique versatility on both ends of the floor as he can score it at multiple levels efficiently and positionlessly defend.

Adam Fitzgerald joins the Wolverines from Scarborough Maine and is a known scorer who can get hot in spurts. The 6’3” guard is a consistency shooting threat in the mid-range and from the three-point line.

Enzo Yonkeu’s older brothers also suited up for Bridgton following successful careers in the NHIAA, and Enzo will do the same. He’s a 6’5” wing with a lot of athleticism to pressure the rim for dunks and defend multiple positions on the floor with his blend of size and mobility.

Michael Therrien adds more size to the team as the 6’8” Connecticut native makes his way up to Maine. He’s a solid rebounder with scoring touch in the post and length to defend down low.

Newcomers

Mahamdou Landoure is one of the most intriguing players in the region this season as the NBA Africa transfer big man is committed to Virginia already. He’s 6’10” with a really strong build to be a terror as a rim-runner. Bridgton has been known to have an impactful anchor down low, and Landoure steps into that role this season.

Cohen Bell comes in from Canada and brings a strong two-way game to the floor. A 6’6” wing, Bell is known for his tough and physical ability on the defensive end while being able to playmake and score around the rim.

6’10” DJ Bijek is an interesting name to monitor as well as he joins the team this season. He’s known to be an elite athlete who oozes length and brings a lot of mobility to run the floor and make plays on both ends.

Ryan Edwards shined back in June as a guard who can make an impact on or off the ball. The NYC native can fly around the court with his speed and impressive handle while offering athleticism in the lane and pull-up scoring ability.

James Augustine is a 6’8” wing who can get up above the rim with impressive athleticism and will play a strong role. Fred Davis’s guard play will be big as he’s made himself known with his passing vision, leadership, and aggressiveness. Haferny Diaz is a 6’6” wing to make note of for Bridgton as well as the South American native can space the floor with his shooting ability or get physical around the basket.

The Bottom Line
As with any other postgraduate-focused program, making all of the pieces mesh together for the season is integral for success. Bridgton has a ton of length, some defined shooters, and overall a stockpile of talent. The most interesting thing to watch develop for the team will be their backcourt and how it plays out. With strong guard play directing traffic and opening up the floor for their wing shooters and big men to score inside, the Wolverines will likely have a good season.
