The schedule has been announced for the inaugural HoopHall Prep Showcase, which is coming to American International College and Springfield, Massachusetts on Martin Luther King Jr. weekend in January. Held just one mile away from Blake Arena and the Spalding HoopHall Classic, the HoopHall Prep Showcase will host top prep programs from around the country for three full days of action as part of a basketball festival that will blanket the city of Springfield over the course of the weekend. …

Just one week after landing a commitment from Springfield Commonwealth and Expressions guard Enoch Cheeks, Robert Morris struck the local prep ranks again this week to land another steal, this time from Redemption Christian guard Kam Farris. Farris is a Vermont native who began his career at Rice Memorial before transferring to Tabor Academy. He is currently spending his post-graduate year at Redemption Christian Academy. The Open Gym Series wrapped up last weekend with stops in Connecticut and Massachusetts on Friday and Saturday respectively. Vermont is not an especially renowned hub for basketball. The state has never produced a homegrown NBA player.
