2024-25 Prep Profile Series: Hoosac
Hoosac School is set to make a strong showing this season in the NEPSAC AAA, boasting a talented and diverse roster featuring players from across Europe and various states in the U.S. Here’s a breakdown of the talent they bring to the floor.
Forwards and Bigs
Aleksa Vlajic leads the forward group. The Serbian prospect has drawn interest from A10 schools and brings high-level experience from his home country. Known for his versatility and skill, Vlajic has a strong post game and the ability to stretch the floor with his shooting, making him a valuable asset. Maruan Cicic, a 7-footer from Montenegro, is a force on the interior with a soft touch around the rim and an exceptional knack for rebounding.
Leo Ryott is an impressive shooter who burst onto the scene last year. He’s lethal off the catch, capable of switching defensively, and plays a fundamentally sound game. Adam Barton stands at 6'9" and turned heads during the New England Open Gym, showcasing a strong frame he uses effectively to attack the basket. His range extends to the perimeter, and he’s received Division I interest this preseason.
Nicolas Mitrovic, one of the region’s top underclassmen, excels with an inside-out game. With great footwork in the post and long-range shooting ability, he has three years ahead to continue to tap into his upside.
Guards and Wings
Unai Fernandez really stood out to us at the New England Open Gym the other day as a skilled guard with glaring size at 6'6". He made a number of strong reads to find cutting teammates and weave passes through traffic, as well as knock down shots. Marko Pandiloski is another big guard on the team, standing at 6'6" as well. He's known for limiting mistakes with the ball, hitting shots coming off screens or off the dribble, and creating for his teammates.
Luka Pesic plays with pace and shows strong scoring abilities at all three levels. Jaiden Holloman arrives at Hoosac as a smaller guard but is a scoring powerhouse, skilled at creating his own shots and adds speed to the backcourt.
Namisse Musonge is a versatile wing with notable defensive prowess and strength in the paint. Zavier Adam is a traditional lead guard who focuses on distributing the ball, shooting from deep, and adding a spark to the offense.
Deryn Momo and Sarp Gokberk round out the guard lineup. Momo’s three-point shooting stands out, while Gokberk displays advanced playmaking ability and strong basketball IQ.
