The first of two live weekends during the month of April is now in the books and once again New England has collectively shined. All five of the region's sneaker sponsored teams - BABC, CBC, Expressions, Mass Rivals, and New England Playaz - went at least .500 in their respective leagues and finished the weekend with a combined record of 18-4. Brewster Academy senior guard Thomas Allen committed to Nebraska on Friday afternoon. Allen is originally from North Carolina and he signed with N.C. State during November's early signing period but requested a release following Mark Gottfreid's firing as the program's head earlier this spring. Putnam Science Academy post-graduate Alexis Yetna made a verbal commitment to South Florida after visiting their campus this weekend. The 6-foot-8 big man and native of France picked up his first high-major offers last spring when he led the Adidas Gauntlet circuit in rebounding while running with Team Belief. The 6-foot-8 big man came to the United States from Latvia, playing one season at Archbishop Carroll High School in Pennsylvania, before arriving at Lee Academy the fall. A pair of Mass Elite products came off the board recently when Marianapolis Prep’s Joe Del Ricci committed to Endicott College head coach Kevin Bettencourt and Groton-Dunstable’s Tyler LeClerc committed to Salem State head coach Chris Harvey. ESPN announces final 2017 rankings

ESPN announced their final rankings for the class of 2017 on Tuesday and, as usual, the list featured plenty of New England products. Former Putnam Science guard Hamidou Diallo wasn't included after enrolling at Kentucky at mid-year, which made Tremont Waters the top ranked local prospect on the list.
