Mass Elite Duo Comes off the Board
A pair of Mass Elite products came off the board recently when Marianapolis Prep’s Joe Del Ricci committed to Endicott College head coach Kevin Bettencourt and Groton-Dunstable’s Tyler LeClerc committed to Salem State head coach Chris Harvey.
Del Ricci is a 6-foot-1 combo-guard who is originally from Rhode Island. He had earned second team All-New England this season in helping Marianapolis advance to the finals of the NEPSAC tournament.
“We are very excited for both Joe and Tyler,” Mass Elite director Eric Polli said. “Joe is the ultimate competitor. He thrives on challenges and I know that he will be a tremendous addition for the Gulls.”
Leclerc averaged over 16 points per game for Groton-Dustable this year, including a number of notable performances throughout the year, and is credited for being an extremely hard worker. He was named a Midland-Wachusett League All-Star as well as the First Teamer by the Lowell Sun.
“Tyler started off as a B team player in our program and turn himself into an elite high school and now college player,” Polli said. “Tyler defines heart as not an organ of the body but the embodiment of a tireless work ethic and the mindset to never settle and always get better.”
