New England Shines During First Live Period
The first of two live weekends during the month of April is now in the books and once again New England has collectively shined.
All five of the region's sneaker sponsored teams - BABC, CBC, Expressions, Mass Rivals, and New England Playaz - went at least .500 in their respective leagues and finished the weekend with a combined record of 18-4. Both the Playaz and the Rivals finished a perfect 4-0, and sit atop pools Porzingis and Lowry respectively, in the opening session of the Adidas Gauntlet in Dallas. Expressions and BABC both finished their weekend 3-1 in Nike EYBL play and are currently tied for second place in Division D coming out of session I in Hampton, Virginia. CBC finished 2-2 in New York this weekend at session I of the Under Armour Association
In Pennsylvania, New England also showed well at the Hoop Group Spring Jam Fest. Both Metro Boston and Middlesex Magic advanced to the semi-finals of the 17u platinum division while D.C. Blue Devils made it to the quarterfinals. WrightWay Skills, RI Elite, Boston Warriors, Middlesex Magic Cochrane, WrightWay Skills Select, and Mass Rivals Select also played their way into the platinum bracket as well.
NERR had boots on the ground in all four locations and will have recaps from each event rolling out over the course of the week before the live period picks back up again on Friday with the EYBL and UAA both in Indianapolis, Gauntlet in Atlanta, Hoop Group in Pittsburgh, and BasketBull in Springfield.
