Whipple, Mukasa Latest to Prep

One of the most productive freshmen in the MIAA will be changing zip codes next year as Calvin Whipple will be leaving Lunenburg High School and transferring to Northfield Mount Hermon for the 2014-2015 academic year. Elon University picked up an important late commitment on Tuesday night from New Hampton post-graduate guard Elijah Bryant. Bryant was one of the stars of New Hampton’s ferocious post-season charge to the finals of the NEPSAC AAA tournament as he helped them to wins over Bridgton Academy and St. Thomas More before battling Brewster Academy to the very last minute in the championship game. Matt Costello, a senior captain at Bishop Fenwick High School, has committed to playing basketball at Suffolk University for Coach Adam Nelson.  Costello was a four-year varsity player and three year starter for Fenwick.  He is a two-time Catholic Central League All-Star and was named The Boston Globe’s “Player of the Week” on four occasions.
