St. Andrew’s Guard to Philly U
Less than 48 hours after landing a commitment from Marianapolis Prep forward Eric Long, Philadelphia University returned to New Engalnd to score another pledge, this time from St. Andrew’s post-graduate guard Jordan DeCicco.
DiCicco is the second post-graduate guard from St. Andrew’s, and third New England prep product, to commit to Philly U in the 2014 class after Malcolm Smith pledged to head coach Herb Magee this fall.
The post-graduate tandem provided the Saints with just the boost necessary to finish Class AA as the top team in the regular season.
DeCicco is a five-foot-ten point guard who previously starred at Kingston High School in New York. He’s strong with the ball, quick with his handle, and able to make a variety of shots from long range.
"Jordan came here basically as an unknown and got better throughout the course of the year," St. Andrew's head coach Michael Hart said. "He was one of our main pieces at the end of the year and he's perfect for them because they like point guards who can score and he can really do that."
He becomes the fourth member of St. Andrew’s 2014 class to earn an athletic scholarship joining Bonzie Colson (Notre Dame), Henry Bolton (Utah State), and Smith.
