Game of the DayThe best game of the day took place during the afternoon session, as a team comprised mostly of Expressions Elite AAU players matched up against a talented group of Canadian players. The game featured incredible athleticism, with several resounding blocks and acrobatic finishes. No one fit in better in such a game than Michael LaPlante, who brought tremendous energy, especially on the defensive end. He also showed yet again that he is more than capable of finishing…

From top to bottom there is something for virtually everyone…that is the plethora of college coaches in attendance. In the first 24 hours of the camp alone the Big East, Atlantic 10, Colonial, Ivy, Patriot, America East, and NEC had all been represented. If that weren’t enough as many as five different division I head coaches stopped by on the first day of action. And while there is certainly a ton of division I prospects at the camp, what may…

Mike Marra: NEPSAC fans will not be surprised to hear that Marra was particularly impressive with his three-point shooting and athleticism on Monday. In one scrimmage he connected from behind the arc on 8 different occasions while also throwing down 3 dunks. While this has become a bit of a norm for Marra, it is quite impressive that he is able to be just as efficient against some of the nation’s best. Givon Crump: At first glance Crump appears to…

Corey Wright Jr. began the day matched up against a high profile point guard in Dondre Whitmore from Trenton Catholic in New Jersey. While a good collection of coaches had gathered to check out Whitmore, Wright seized the opportunity, taking it right at the talented point guard and proving his own worth. The rising junior was doing a little bit of everything as he knocked down three jumpers from the perimeter and also slashed his way to the rim. He…

The duo of Scott Tavares and Tucker Esborn continued to dominate on Wednesday as they led their team, the Bulls, to the camp championship. Tavares was named the camp’s Most Outstanding Player as he played some great basketball throughout the four day period. Tavares has been an electrifying guard for a long time, but as we noted on Tuesday, it is his improved decision making and ability to run a team that is now allowing him to realize his full…

Tuesday’s Top PerformersTucker Esborn, 6’5”, SF, Avon Old Farms (CT), 2009: There are shooters and then there are scorers. And although Esborn is arguably the best stand still three-point shooter in the camp, he showed he can put the ball in the basket in a variety of ways on Tuesday. While his jumper was failing to drop with his normal regularity, he showed he was the complete package offensively as he was able to score off the dribble, in the…

Matchup of the DayThe game of the afternoon pitted two extremely talented forwards against one another, in Allen Williamson and Alan Harris. Williamson was consistently able to get to the rim and finish, whether it was in the post or off the dribble. Harris made his living with his deadly mid-range game, where he was able to pull up off the dribble and connect. Despite his long, rangy frame, Harris was also able to finish tough inside with contact. Also…
