Behind the balanced attack of Jared Terrell, Aaron Falzon and Jared Wilson-Frame – who also played with the u16 squad – Expressions Elite defeated Wayne PAL Wolfpack (NJ), 59-50, to capture the u17 varsity title at this weekend's Zero Gravity Finals. The athleticism and depth of Expressions, who were without Abdul-Malik Abu, proved too much for a Wolfpack team that never led. UMass Lowell Lands Commitment

New UMass Lowell head coach Pat Duquette picked up his first verbal commitment since taking over the River Hawks' program last month. Jahad Thomas, a six-foot-two two-hundred-and-twenty pound swingman from Williamsport High School in Pennsylvania, committed to UMass Lowell over the weekend.  Thomas led Williamsport to back to back district championships in his junior and senior seasons and was also named 1st team All-State in Pennsylvania's 4A largest school classification.UMass Lowell will officially join the division I ranks on July… READ MORE >

ZG Finals - u15 Recap

While most of the eyes at the University Sports Center were focused on the u16 and u17 divisions, there was also a plethora of excitement in the u15 division, where the Boston Spartans cruised to a 63-42 title-clinching victory over the Boston Titans. Catholic Memorial teammates Kellen Grady and Brandon Twitty led the offense with some hot three-point shooting. HANOVER, Mass. – Championship Sunday at the 2013 Zero Gravity National Finals did not disappoint. With over 300 teams competing on roughly 30 courts throughout Southeastern Massachusetts, the top squads in the u15, u16 and u17 age groups gathered at the University Sports Center on Father’s Day for their respective title games. ESPN Releases Updated Rankings

ESPN released updated national rankings in the classes of 2014, 2015, and 2016 last week, and New England continued to be well represented among the nation’s elite. SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Tyler Desrosiers knows how to score.Last season, the 6-foot-1-inch, 195-pound guard from Agawam High averaged 26.9 points per game, including a season-opening 42 points versus Springfield Central – the 2012 Division 1 state champs – and 43 points against New Leadership (Springfield). Duke Offers Goodluck

Wilbraham and Monson big man Goodluck Okonoboh saw his recruitment go to another level on Wednesday when Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski offered him a scholarship.
