Three of the six finalists for 2013 Nike Elite Youth Basketball League MVP played at New England prep schools during the 2012-2013 season, according to D1 Circuit.    St. Andrew's/BABC forward Bonzie Colson, Kimball Union/Expressions forward Abdul-Malik Abu, and former Redemption Christian/New York Lightning big man Angel Delgado were all nominated along with Spiece Indy Heat's Trevon Bluiett, Houston Hoops' Justin Jackson, and Howard Pulley's Tyus Jones. Official rosters were announced on Monday night for both the Nike Point Guard Skills Academy and the Nike Big Man Skills Academy. Kimball Union Academy’s Abdul-Malik Abu and Wilbraham & Monson’s Goodluck Okonoboh are both in attendance as expected.  Former Redemption Christian big man is also in attendance.  Fairfield Prep center Paschal Chukwu was also reportedly invited but unable to attend.  The Big Man Academy is especially selective with only 16 high school prospects from around the country in attendance.… READ MORE >

Norwalk High School’s rising junior forward, Roy Kane Jr., landed his first division I offer on Saturday from Iona College. Boston College scored a late recruiting victory in the class of 2013 on Wednesday, picking up a commitment from six-foot-eleven big man Billy Magarity.
