Yarmouth High School and Blue Wave forward Nolan Hagerty announced his commitment to Brandeis on Friday. Hagerty is a 6-foot-6 forward with an inside-out skill set. He handles and passes the ball extremely well for his size and can also stretch the floor to the arc. The 2017-2018 season is shaping up to be an especially competitive one in Class B as the overall depth of the group will be significantly higher with new programs like Holderness, St. Luke’s, Greens Farms Academy, and Hamden Hall all joining the field. An exciting weekend of basketball came to an end on Sunday at Babson College with seven more games at the Scholar Roundball Classic in front of colleges ranging from the likes of Notre Dame, California, UConn, Providence, and Davidson all the way to academic division III schools like Colby, Connecticut College, Hamilton, WPI, and numerous others. The Scholar Roundball Classic tipped off on Saturday at Babson College with five games on Saturday afternoon as teams braved the snow to show out in front of college coaches. The NERR Coaches vs. Cancer Classic featured four games at Babson College on Friday night as an appetizer for the Scholar Roundball Classic, which remains fully on schedule for Saturday and Sunday. A terrific weekend of prep school action is on tap at Babson College beginning with the third annual NERR Coaches vs. Cancer Classic on Friday followed by the 7th annual Scholar Roundball Classic.
