Walker Heading Home for College
Woodstock Academy's Dibaji Walker became the fifth player in the program's inaugural year to commit to a division I school on Monday night when he announced for Cleveland State.
The Vikings are located in Walker's home state of Ohio and have had the chance to watch him develop not just this season but also coming up the ranks at nearby Columbus Independence High School and also on the grassroots circuit for King James Ohio Varsity.
The announcement was made in customary Woodstock fashion as he was surrounded by his teammates and published by Mike Yagmin on twitter.
Proud to announce the 5th D1 commitment from @WAPrepHoop’s inaugural prospect class. Dibaji Walker (@Dibajiwalker) came to WA on a mission to improve his skillset & improved his stock as a prospect as a result. @CSU_Basketball gets a young man w/ a high ceiling & NBA genetics... pic.twitter.com/P1ta2DESJz

An ultra-versatile player with significant upside still left to discover, Walker is just scratching the surface of his potential. The southpaw, who is the son of former Louisville star and NBA player Samaki Walker, is an exceptionally long lefty with good use of both hands. He's shown flashes of dexterity both around and above the rim, some playmaking ability with the ball in his hands, and a soft touch to develop. He has undeniable potential to both play and defend multiple positions and be impactful on both ends of the floor as he continues to fill out his frame and become more assertive and consistent.
Below are some of his highlights from the year care of Woodstock assistant coach Scott Moses on YouTube.
