Roxbury native Maurice Works began his high school career at East Boston before transferring to Lawrence Academy. When he returned to his home city this year and enrolled at Tech Boston, his goal was to win a state championship Two weeks ago, he did just that when Tech won the MIAA division II championship. East Catholic High School senior forward and Connecticut Basketball Club alum Matt Veretto made a verbal commitment to Delaware over the weekend.  Veretto, a late blooming 6-foot-7 southpaw forward, made a name for himself last spring and summer while playing with CBC but actually didn't earn his first division I offer until earlier this fall. The American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships took place on Tuesday in San Antonio, Texas as a precursor to this weekend's NCAA Division I Final Four.
