Late last week, Sacred Heart (CT) High School senior guard Raheem Solomon signed a National Letter of Intent with Niagara University. Solomon had a storied four year high school career, even while overcoming a major knee injury in his junior year. St. Andrew's School has produced their latest division I big man as post-graduate Nevin Zink committed to USC Upstate on Sunday according to Saints' head coach Michael Hart. Zink is a Connecticut native who previously attended 22-Feet Academy in South Carolina before coming to Rhode Island for his post-graduate season. Several New England grassroots programs traveled to Pennsylvania for Hoop Group's annual Spring Jam Fest.  Once again, New England programs faired well against stiff competition from the rest of the east coast. The second week of the NCAA recruiting period resumed on Friday night and continued through the day on Sunday. Tilton's inspired post-season run continued to pay dividends for their individual players on Tuesday as post-graduate Cal Connelly became the latest player to accept a scholarship offer earned in recent weeks.
