The D.C. Blue Devils followed up their 2017 run to the finals of the Big Apple Showcase with another trip to the semi-finals last week.
Gob Gabriel continued to be the standout and rack up new scholarship offers in the process but sophomore point guard Bol Akot is as vital to this team's success as anyone on their roster and one of the most productive guards in New England's 2020 class.

The Middlesex Magic took their second consecutive Big Apple Showcase championship last week and did so in dramatic style with a Tommy ONeil buzzer beater to earn a one point win over Mid-Atlantic Select. New England teams literally made headlines from all corners of the country last week. While Expressions and Middlesex Magic battled for the Hoop Group championship and BABC's 10th graders took the AAU championship, the Mass Rivals were in Los Angeles advancing to the finals of the Adidas Summer Championship for the third time in the last four years. BABC represented New England this past week in Orlando as their teams took part in AAU nationals in the 9th, 10th, and 11th grade divisions. While all three teams advanced to the quarterfinals, BABC took the gold medal in the sophomore division. They went through pool play without being challenged, winning each game by 19 points or more and didn't see a close game until holding off DMV Stags in the third round of pool play by a 69-65 margin.…

With 147 teams in the 17u division of Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest, the finals came down to two New England teams in Expressions Elite and Middlesex Magic and the match-up went all the way down to the wire and was only decided by two points in overtime.
