The 6’6 swingman Tyler Burton recently narrowed his recruiting list down to six schools. After landing a plethora of Division 1 scholarship offers while playing for Marianopolis Prep in the NEPSAC and Mass Rivals on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit, Burton has decided to cut his list down to Rhode Island, Richmond, Siena, Quinnipiac, Northeastern, and St. Bonaventure. He has set up official visits at Rhode Island, Richmond, Siena, and Quinnipiac while leaving his 5th official visit up for grabs. He…

After rolling out 2020 rankings state-by-state last week, today it's time to take a look at the collective New England region. We've only ranked 30 players for the time being, but that's just scratching the surface as there are numerous others who have a chance to earn a free education before it is all said and done. The list has already evolved quite a bit from when it initially debuted last September. What can the movement be attributed to? The…

It was twelve years ago that the New England Recruiting Report made its debut, in August of 2016. At that time, we brought coverage of New England basketball to unprecedented levels through daily articles and web content which included prospect and program profiles as well as rankings. While we've stayed true to that mission in the twelve years since, the way people consume their media content has undoubtedly evolved and consequently so has the way we provide our coverage. It…

While some of New England's smaller states don't have the same amount of 2020 depth as Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, there's diamonds in the rough to be found inside each border. In Vermont, Symir Torrence is coming off a big summer with the City Rocks. They were one of the best teams in the EYBL, advancing to the quarterfinals before falling to the eventual champions Team Takeover, and Torrence was one of their most consistent players on both ends…

The rising junior class in Massachusetts might not have the same star power as Connecticut or Massachusetts, but where it sets itself apart is with its superior depth. In total, we've ranked the top 15 prospects in the state's 2020 class while there are others who could ping the division I radar before it's all said and done. MacDuffie forward Richard Springs is the top ranked prospect in the class. While he hasn't yet developed into a volume scorer, he…

Our updated 2020 rankings move to the state of New Hampshire today where the class is led by a frontcourt trio at the New Hampton School. Dyondre Dominguez was already among the state's best rising juniors but he now has company with Bas Leyte's decision to reclassify back to 2020 earlier this summer and recent news of Trey Hall's transfer to New Hampton. Together, that trio not only embodies three of the top prospects in the region but also a…

Post-July rankings continue this week with the class of 2020 where the Nutmeg State is up first. The rising junior class is a particularly deep and talented one in Connecticut and headlined by a prospect who is now back at Sacred Heart High School after initially transferring to Our Savior New American School in New York as a freshman. Tabor will likely be the most talented player in the CIAC from day one as he's a budding big guard who…

For the better part of the last decade the Scott Hazelton Basketball Camp has been one of our few annual August stops. The camp never always attracts top prospects from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and especially the Merrimack Valley area and this year was no different. One of the camps' best features is the return of alums to compete with current high school players and this year’s crop included the likes of Zach Auguste (Greece - Pro), Azar Swain (Yale), David…
