NBA Draft Recap
The 2018 NBA Draft took place on Thursday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and, as expected, there were a number of former New England prep products that heard their name called.
It began with the final pick in the first round as former MacDuffie School and St. Thomas More School big man, and PSA Cardinals product, Omari Spellman was selected by Atlanta Hawks which means he'll earn a guaranteed contract.
The first round also included NERR event alums Mo Bamba being selected 6th overall by the Orlando Magic and Amfernee Simons 24th overall by the Portland Trailblazers.
The second round brought a surge of familiar names beginning with former Brewster Academy guard Devonte Graham who was chosen 34th overall by the Hawks but subsequently traded to the Charlotte Hornets.
Vermont Academy alum and former BABC guard Bruce Brown was the 42nd overall pick in the draft by the Detroit Pistons.
At 45 the Brooklyn Nets picked Putnam Science Academy alum and former New York Rens guard Hamidou Diallo. Oklahoma City reportedly acquired Diallo following the draft but the transaction can't become official until July 6th.
