Last week, the New England Recruiting Report announced that we would coordinate an unprecedented Coaches vs. Cancer effort among New England schools. The goal was to get 50 programs to host Suits & Sneakers events at their school, in association with various national events and college games throughout the end of January, and raise a total of $25,000 to go directly to the American Cancer Society. The 2018 Scholar Roundball Classic tipped off with four games on Friday at Babson College. True to form the event was well attended by college coaches from top academic colleges. Brown, Dartmouth, Cornell, and Princeton were in attendance from the Ivy League. Boston University, Holy Cross, and American represented the Patriot League. The 9th annual Scholar Roundball Classic tips Friday afternoon at Babson College. For the previous four years, the first day of the event coincided with a Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser that anually raised about $2,000. This year, the goal is much more substantial.
