Yesterday we told you that Mike Marra was expected to be on hand for the Midnight Madness festivities at Providence College. Well Marra wasn’t alone as he was joined by a number of other talented recruits from around the country. Among those players was 6’3” small forward Darryl Cato-Bishop (pictured) from Lawrence Academy. Tomorrow officially opens the beginning of the college basketball season, as teams are allowed to hold formal practices beginning at midnight tonight. As is customary many schools will open their season with a Midnight Madness show in a pep rally type of event to get their fans enthusiastic about the upcoming season. Arguably the best performance of the night belonged to 6’7” Mike Myers-Keitt, a post graduate at Marianapolis Prep. Myers-Keitt, a native of Waterbury, CT showed off his all around game as he was scoring from just about everywhere. Johnny Higgins and Kimmie English, two players who figure to be in the starting line-up when Notre Dame Prep opens their season at the National Prep Showcase, have both verbally committed within the last week.
