Despite the plethora of college showcases that have popped up over the years, New England’s oldest fall showcase still remains the best in terms of providing exposure. Hoop Mountain’s annual New England Fall Classic will take place tonight at Mass Premier Courts in Foxboro. Registered players can begin checking in at 5:30 and the action will get under way beginning at 7:00 with a series of warm-up drills before the games get started. Terrell Allen, a six-foot-six two-hundred-and-fifteen pound forward from Cape Henry College in Norfolk Virginia, committed to Central Connecticut State University and head coach Howie Dickenman earlier this week. Allen has starred for the last two years at Cape Henry, averaging 17 points and 10 rebounds as a sophomore and 17 points and 13 rebounds last season as a junior. Dockery Walker, a six-foot-seven forward from Dover, Delaware committed to Brown earlier this week. Walker, who attends Westtown High School in West Chester Pennsylvania, selected the Bears over a variety of other suitors in the Ivy, Patriot, CAA, and America East Conferences. Carson Desrosiers made a verbal commitment to Wake Forest on Wednesday morning, the day after Demon Deacons head coach Dino Gaudio and his staff did an in-home visit with Desrosiers and his family. Desrosiers took an official visit to Wake Forest two weeks ago and visited Arizona State officially this past weekend. Brian Voelkel, a six-foot-six combo-forward from Iona Prep (NY), gave a verbal commitment to the University of Vermont and head coach Mike Lonergan on Tuesday.
