Lowell High School and Mass Rivals guard Alex Rivera will be staying close to home for the next four years. Rivera took to his twitter account on Tuesday to announce his verbal commitmient to the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. Local Products Return from Adidas Nations

Adidas Nations Global, the culminating event of Adidas' grassroots basketball season, wrapped up on Monday in Houston, Texas. The event attracted some of the top under-19 players from around the world and divided them into eight different teams from Asia, Africa, Canada, Latin America, and then four teams made up of American players. Shaughnessy Wins A Shot For Life

The fifth annual A Shot For Life Challenge took place this weekend in Hanover, Massachusetts and raised over $30,000 for cancer research. The event is a two hour shooting competition where the winner is named “The Best Shooter in Massachusetts” and gets their number retired on the wall of the A Shot For Life Court at the University Sports Complex, which hosts the event every year.
