Hamden Hall hosting free coaches clinic Sunday

Hamden Hall Country Day School and head coach Sean Doherty are hosting their second annual Connecticut Area Coaches Hoop Clinic on Sunday.  The event begins at 11am at Taylor Gymnasium and is 100% free of charge but donations will be accepted at the door for "In A Heartbeat" Foundation.  Speakers include UConn assistant coach Tom Moore, Hall of Famer Jim Calhoun, and Quinnipiac head coach Baker Dunleavy. Northfield Mount Hermon senior forward Chris Ledlum became the latest first year New England prep product to come off the board on Thursday morning when he made a verbal commitment to Harvard University.  Ledlum is a four-star national forward who sits right on the cusp of the ESPN 100. Columbia landed a verbal commitment from Cameron Shockley-Okeke on Monday night following his official visit to their New York City campus over the weekend.  Shockley-Okeke is a Connecticut native who graduated from Milton Academy last year and is currently in his post-graduate season at Phillips Exeter Academy. Hundreds of teams populated eastern Massachusetts this weekend for the annual Zero Gravity Battle for the Belt, the culmination of the fall season. The varsity American division belt went to the Boston Bobcats who impressed the entire weekend with their high-powered offense.
