NERR and Grassroots XL announced the top performances among unsigned seniors at this past weekend's Northeast Hoops Festival. Riverside Hawks' wing Noah Best led the way along with Team Spartans Tony Felder. Connecticut Select guard Andre Johnson, Metro Boston wing Tyreik Weeks, and Connecticut Elite forward Isaiah Sullivan were also among the headliners while XLP's Wani Donato, Pure Hoops' Favour Okeke, and CT Spartans Joey Johnson were also recognized. Canterbury School post-graduate and Crown Basketball forward Jaden Kealey announced last week that he would be continuing his career at Pace University, a D2 school in New York, next year. Bridgton Academy forward Trace Salton announced his commitment to Marist College on Tuesday shortly after wrapping up an official visit to the MAAC school. Salton graduated from Lake Oswego High School in Oregon last year where he played for head coach Marshall Cho, a coach in the USA Basketball system. Salton earned All-Conference honors as a junior but his senior season was delayed until the spring because of covid, thus preventing him from playing another year on the grassroots circuit. …

This weekend's Northeast Hoops Festival will celebrate 15 years since the event debuted in 2008. Until that point, the Providence Jam Fest had been an annual staple of the weekend in April when the ACT test was given, and thus was not part of the live period.
