CT Elite and Middlesex Magic Have Stellar Weekends
With May now past and the June live periods approaching, there were not as many New England grassroots programs participating in events this past weekend. Despite this, a few programs still were in action in Springfield and Long Island.
CT Elite-JP took home the 11th/Open Divison crown at the Basketbull Northeast Best of the Best event. They stormed through their pool, winning the three games by an average of 14 points. It was a tougher test for them in the championship game against NYL-New England, but they pulled out a three point victory.
After taking a tough one point loss in their first game, CT Elite-KM came back to win four straight en route to taking the 11th grade Naismith Division title. They won the championship game over RI Magic 60-47. The program brought back one more title with their 15u team winning the 9th Grade Boys Hall of Fame Division.
Middlsex Magic’s UAA teams attended The Collision hosted by Eleve11Hoops. Their two teams made its marks as the only New England program in their respective divisions. The Magic’s 16s and 17s went a combined 8-0, beating various other shoe programs. This event concluded a highly successful spring for Middlesex and gives them more momentum heading into the July live periods.
