The fifth in a six part series, today we take a look back on the high school season that was in the state of Massachusetts and the MIAA. For the second consecutive year, Cambridge took the state association's top prize by winning the Division I state championship. The fourth in a six part series, today we'll look back on the high schools season that was in the state of Vermont and the VPA. Rutland won the Division I state championship, defeating Champlain Valley Union 43-37 in overtime to win the school's first state championship since 1967. The Jordan Brand Classic announced their regional rosters for the 16th annual JBC set for Friday, April 14th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.  The regional game will be part of a quadruple-header beginning with the Global Showcase featuring players from all around the world, followed by the Regional Game. For the second time in as many weeks, one of the best players in New England has asked for a release from his National Letter of Intent. Brewster Academy guard Thomas Allen, who signed with his hometown school N.C. State in November, requested his release on Thursday after meeting with new head coach Kevin Keatts. Portsmouth was the team to beat all season long in the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association and when it was all said and done they had taken on, and defeated, all challengers.
