With Frosh/Soph returning in just three weeks, a look back at some of the 2026 standouts from the event seemed fitting. Wrapping up the 2025 state by state rankings update, it was fitting to conclude with the state of Massachusetts, New England’s largest state. Let’s take a look at where things currently stand. Jaylen Harrell, a big wing who recently announced his commitment to the Providence Friars takes the top spot. The month of August is starting to get in full swing so we figured it would be time to get moving on our state by state rankings. Yesterday it was announced that St. George’s and Middlesex Magic 2025 guard Barrett Loer would be taking his talents to URI following his senior year. Loer is a native of Millis Massachusetts, but has spent his entire high school career under St. George’s Head Coach Dwayne Pina, and now, he’s moving just 30 minutes away to URI.
