The Middlesex Magic capped their first season on the ZGXL by taking the championship in Orlando last week. The Magic went 7-0 on the week, both taking the championship as well as an earlier match-up against the Albany City Rocks with a full baseline of D1 college coaches looking on. Team New England traveled to Alabama last week to play in the Adidas Boys Gauntlet Regional event, run alongside the 3SSB event in Birmingham. The goal was to play their way into the 3SSB championship field the following weekend, a feat that would only be possible with a championship.
