2027 Vermont Ranking Debut
Today, we kick off our 2027 rankings with the state of Vermont.
While the state boasts the smallest population of the entire region, it has managed to produce some impressive college prospects on a yearly basis.
Here’s ten sophomore’s to know as the season gets moving.
Kamari Whyte leads the way as the newcomer from New York has impressed in multiple settings in front of our scouts, including on the big stage at the National Prep Showcase. He’s tough with a high motor that allows him to finish relentlessly inside, step out and hit three’s and get physical on defense.
At two and three, Whyte’s Vermont Academy teammates, Filip Mozoul and Landon Whiting follow. The two 6’7” forwards have upside to watch with physical tools to match.
Pascal Munezero and Sawyer Judkins both played their roles in a near state championship season where they came up just short.
Munezero’s speed and on-ball defense allow him to kick start transition opportunities where he does well getting to the basket. Judkins has shown some impressive playmaking chops as the team’s lead facilitator with upside as a scorer.
Leander Buckley and Mo Abdirahman close out an impressive sophomore core at Burlington high school at the sixth and seventh spots. Buckley’s defense and athleticism jumped out to us, while Abdirahman’s pure scoring skills stand out.
Wrapping up the top ten are Jack Lafayatte, Adrian Paliling and Hugh Casey.
Lafayette’s got some impressive pull-up scoring in his game while Paliling’s handle and separation are noteworthy.
Stay tuned as we continue to reveal more of our state by state rankings moving forward!
