Stanford, Clemson, and Georgia Tech all had coaches at the Hotchkiss gymnasium on Wednesday night to see Jason Morris, and apparently they are the three finalists in the long race that has been Morris’ recruitment. “Mainly those three right there,” he said nodding towards the three coaches when asked if he had trimmed his list since the summer. The coaches didn’t leave disappointed as the tremendously athletic swingman gave them a series of highlight reel plays. The first came on…

UConn head coach Jim Calhoun and assistant coach Patrick Sellers were in Georgia on Tuesday to visit guard Jeremy Lamb. The trip ended up to be well worth it as Lamb made a verbal commitment to the Huskies. Lamb, a consensus top 100 player in the country, was a guy flying under the radar until this summer when his stock exploded with stellar performances at the Nike Peach Jam and the AAU Super Showcase. He’s described as a late bloomer…

While most of New England’s top young prospects spent their summer playing at AAU tournaments, showcases, and exposure camps, Tevin Falzon had a much different experience. The Newton North junior spurned the July live period for an opportunity to play with the 18-and-under national team from the country of Malta at the FIBA European Championships. The small European country, which is located immediately off of Italy’s southern border, was home to Falzon’s grandfather and so he was eligible to play…

When Ford left for Oklahoma State, Cosby opted to re-open his recruitment. Ironically, he still ended up…

The Winchendon School has claimed two NEPSAC Class A titles under head coach Mike Byrnes, and at various points over the last four years they’ve been so close to their third they could practically taste it. But hopes are high entering the 09-10 season that this could be the year they get over the hump and complete the trifecta. All the pieces seem to be in place as this is certainly the most talented Winchendon team we’ve seen from top…

In-home visits have become pretty standard in the world of college recruiting. An in-home visit is when a college coach travels to a prospect’s house to meet with him and his family. It’s often a brief meeting, not lasting more than a couple of hours, that gives the coach an opportunity to sell himself, his school, and his program while answering any questions the prospect and family may have. For Rod Odom, and many other prep school products like him,…
