Langston to St. Thomas More Kolbe Cathedral guard Dominique Langston will head to St. Thomas More next season as a post-graduate. Langston, who was one of the top players in the CIAC this year, is a strong guard with a college ready body. There are a couple of noted changes in ESPN’s newly updated 2010 rankings. First and foremost for New England fans is that there are now six players in the top 100 that currently reside in our region of the country. It was an extremely busy day of action on Saturday as 80 teams were in action in the 17u division alone. There was plenty to be impressed by as certain teams caught our attention collectively while others had certain individuals stand out. Two of New England’s most prestigious clubs will be traveling to national tournaments this weekend, while a host of others will be headed to Albany for the Gym Rat Challenge. The New England Playaz are in North Carolina for the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions. Mantas Drungys has played the game of basketball in places all around the world. A native of Lithuania, Drungys previously played with the Lithuanian Junior National Team, which is no small feat given the country’s high standing in the international basketball community. Last season he attended the Abbey School in London, England where he thrived averaging almost 22 points and 10 rebounds per game as a junior. The Warriors faced an initial set-back to start last weekend’s Connecticut Division II AAU State Tournament as they fell in the 8:30a.m. game on Saturday morning.
