In the U17 Division the Burlington Hawks repeated as Champions beating ProCity (Vergennes) by 30 points in the final game. Burlington got a tough test in the semi-finals from the Connecticut River Valley Vipers, but closed out a 3 point win. The New Hampshire Rivals took home three state titles this weekend in the New Hampshire state tournament in the 12u, 14u, and 15u divisions. As a program the Rivals went undefeated this weekend with a perfect combined record of 13-0 among the three age brackets. The Rivals 12u team dominated all weekend as they used their athleticism to defend and play transition basketball on their way to the championship. The BABC claimed gold medals in both the Massachusetts 15-and-under state AAU tournament and the 17-and-under state AAU tournament this weekend. Every year the Hoop Mountain Invitational seems to get a little bit better as the event has established itself as one of the premier AAU tournaments in the northeast. Ricardo Ledo has emerged as one of the region’s most talented young players in recent months.
