Albertus Magnus head coach Mitch Oliver has just landed arguably the biggest recruiting steal we’ve seen all year long in 6’7” big man Jefferson Lora. Lora, who was originally a member of the class of 2010, committed to Central Connecticut earlier in the fall. But after earning enough credits to graduate this year he has decided that he wants to go to college in September…and he wants to go to Albertus Magnus. “It was my decision,” Lora told the New…

Tevin Baskin spoke to SNY's Adam Zagoria earlier today and filled him in on his plans for the rest of the year. While he plans on visiting Manhattan College in the next couple of weeks, he's taking a wait and see approach before setting the rest of his visits. "I'm still hearing from Providence. The higher level of competition was in Division I, although neither was loaded with talent. A number of the best travel teams in the state are not playing the AAU circuit, so a lot of the best talent was…

Kevin Parrom, who originally committed to Xavier this fall, will follow former Musketeers head coach Sean Miller to the University of Arizona. Former Xavier assistant coach Emmanuel “Book” Richardson also made the move from Xavier to Arizona, and that was no doubt an important factor in Parrom’s re-recruitment. Richardson, the former director of the New York Gauchos AAU program, had been the lead recruiter for Parrom throughout the entire process. “I’ve known Book for a long time and I’ve known…

Sunday was championship day in Hartford as seven teams earned the title of Connecticut’s best. Among those were the Connecticut Basketball Club in the 17u & 16u divisions, and Connecticut Elite in the 15u division. Of all seven divisions, the 17’s had the least amount of competition as CBC blew out their opponent in each of their four games, not winning any contest by less than 20 points despite playing without Majok Majok, Dominique Langston, and Jefferson Lora. The exclamation…
