Cushing Academy point guard Bensley Joseph remains the top ranked prospect in Massachusett's class of 2021. He's a more than capable scorer but his ability to put points on the board isn't what makes him special. Call it what you want, but he's an "alpha" on the floor with an "it" factor about him. Essentially, he's a leader, loaded with intangibles, and a big presence. He changes the game as much, if not more, defensively than he does offensively and…

The new NCAA recruiting calendar will return in the summer of 2020 and with it two scholastic recruiting weekends in late June, a four-day non-scholastic period in early July for grassroots events, and then the return of the NCAA College Basketball Academy. The Academy debuted to mixed reviews in 2019, in large part because the nomination and selection process was not transparent. In order to be considered for the 2020 Academy, a prospective student-athlete must be registered with the NCAA…

It would be wrong to look at the race for the number one ranking in the state of Vermont as a competition between two teammates. Instead, it is a matter of two teammates being head-and-shoulders ahead of everyone else in the class. Nana Owuso came in as the top ranked player in the state, and has done nothing to lose that distinction. His defense may still be ahead of his offense but his length, the maturity of his approach, and continued evolution…

Connecticut's junior class is a deep one when you combine prospects in both the state association as well as the prep ranks. There are several prospects who have a legitimate chance to push their recruitment to the highest level of college basketball over the course of the next 15 months and even a bigger group that has a chance to play their way into recruitment from other levels of division I basketball. While the updated rankings feature a variety of prospects…

It was a huge fall for the skilled big man, and one that has been well-documented, after landing his first few division I scholarship offers and developing…
