Woodstock’s Battle Earns Scholarship

Woodstock Academy post-graduate guard Nahshon Battle made a verbal commitment to St. Michael's College and head coach Eric Eaton over the weekend, accepting a full athletic scholarship from the division II school in Burlington, Vermont.

Battle graduated from Union Catholic High School in New Jersey last year and played his grassroots basketball with Born Ready Elite this summer.

He has starred for Woodstock's Blue team this year, averaging 19.6 points per game so far this year along with 7 rebounds and 3 assists.

"Coach Eaton did an amazing job recruiting Nahshon as he held offers from the entire NE-10 and held D1 academic interest as well," said Woodstock Acadmey head coach Jacque Rivera. "They're getting a committed, invested, overly self-secure academic student-athlete who has aspirations of becoming a surgeon and is going to do great things at St. Mike's."

Battle is the fifth member of Woodstock's 2020 class to accept a full athletic scholarship and the second member of their blue team.
