Wednesday marked Connecticut's second verbal commitment of the last week as Leon Tolsdorf committed to head coach Jim Calhoun after visiting the campus on Tuesday. The six-foot-seven Tolksdorf played for ALBA Berlin II this past season, averaging 5.2 points and 14.2 minutes per game. The entire New England community is mourning the passing of Don Gowan, the boys basketball coach and Associate Director of Admission at the Canterbury School. He passed away Sunday evening and was discovered by faculty on Monday morning after he failed to report to work in the Admission Office.
