The Connecticut AAU state championships were decided this weekend in the u17, u16, and u15 divisions.  Connecticut Basketball Club – Donnelly took the gold medal in the junior division, finishing with a 5-0 record on the weekend.  Kurt Steidl led the way offensively for the team.  On Saturday, he went for 25, 21, and 16 points during the team’s first three games before being held out of Sunday morning’s semifinals because of illness.  He returned just in time for the… READ MORE >

Rhode Island head coach Danny Hurley continues to strike the transfer market in order to rebuild Rhody's talent base.  The most recent prospect to commit to Hurley is DeShon Minnis, a six-foot-three lead guard who spent his freshman season at Texas Tech.  The commitment was first reportted by SNY's Adam Zagoria.  Minnis is a big lead guard who played his high school basketball in New Jersey at Atlantic Christian High School.  He averaged 2.8 points and 1.4 assists last year… READ MORE >
