The ISL announced their all-league team this week while naming St. Mark's junior forward Alex Murphy as the league's Most Valuable Player. The University of Maine hosted two prospects for official visits last weekend and has now landed commitments from both. Xavier Pollard, a post-graduate guard at the Winchendon School who previously starred at Suffield Academy, committed on Wednesday, less than 48 hours after Kilian Cato made a similar pledge. Cato is a skilled six-foot-seven forward from Finland who is the latest international prospect landed by Maine head coach Ted Woodward and Associate head coach Doug Leichner. Salisbury School’s shooting guard Jon Seltzer has turned down several Division II scholarship offers and committed to Trinity College. Averaging 14.3 ppg., Seltzer is shooting 39% from behind the arc for the Crimson Knights. “The most important factor in my decision was the academics," Seltzer said. The 2011 National Prep Championship field was announced on Sunday night and Hargrave Military Academy from Virginia took the top seed for the fourth consecutive year followed by last year’s defending champions Brewster Academy.
