2026 WNY #E75 College Showcase Recap pt. 2
Continuing with our recaps of the players in the event last Wednesday, here's another round of players to know!
Abdul Keshinro
Sweet Home HS, 6'4", 2027
Keshinro's athleticism immediately stands out when watching him play. The 6'4" wing gets downhill with confidence, using a good handle to create advantages off the bounce before finishing above the rim. He's capable of playing through traffic and elevating for dunks when given space. The combination of size, athleticism, and attacking ability makes him an intriguing prospect in Buffalo's 2027 class.
Jack Shehadi
Liverpool HS, 5'11", 2027
Shehadi's shooting ability was one of the more notable takeaways from his outing. He gets his shot off quickly and does a great job moving without the ball to create clean looks within the flow of the offense. Whether curling into space or relocating along the perimeter, he consistently found opportunities to let it fly. Shooters who can generate looks without needing the ball are always valuable.
Marquis Harris
Bishop Timon, 5'9", 2028
Harris brought plenty of energy to the floor and impacted the game on both ends. He picked up full court defensively and consistently applied pressure to opposing ball handlers. Offensively, he got paint touches, showed good touch around the basket, and played with a willingness to make the extra pass when help defenders rotated over. His jumper also caught attention with a high release and good elevation.
Brandon Blitz
Fayetteville-Manlius HS, 5'10", 2027
Blitz operated as a true floor general, controlling tempo and keeping his team organized throughout. He consistently got paint touches and used his craftiness around the basket to avoid shot blockers and finish plays. The ball was in his hands often, and he looked comfortable directing traffic while making decisions.
Perry Planck
Cato-Meridian HS, 6'5", 2028
Planck brings intriguing size and versatility at 6'5". The sophomore forward showed his ability as a stretch shooting threat while also making an impact without needing touches called for him. Defensively, his length was constantly bothering opponents as he racked up deflections and disrupted passing lanes. His ability to affect the game on both ends at 6'5" makes him a name to know in the 2028 CNY class.
Myles Dalton
Williamsville HS, 5'11", 2028
Dalton's well-rounded game showed throughout his outing. He moved well without the ball, got paint touches consistently, and made smart reads once he got into the lane. Around the basket, he displayed patience, finishing with either hand while letting plays develop. There is also some sneaky playmaking ability there, as he created opportunities for teammates while playing with a high motor.
Brayden Stedman
Churchville-Chili, 6'1", 2027
Stedman played the game with the poise and feel of a veteran floor general. He consistently made the right reads in transition and kept the ball moving to the right spots. His effort level was noticeable throughout, while he also showed the ability to rise into shots off the bounce and make them. The Rochester-area guard continues to be a standout in front of our staff and one schools in the area should be in on.
Demario Badger
Health Sciences, 5'11", 2027
Badger's physicality on the defensive end immediately stood out as he consistently got into opposing ball handlers at the point of attack. He plays with strength despite his size and takes pride in making life difficult for guards. Offensively, he showed good change of pace with the ball, using stop-and-start moves to create separation before rising into jumpers. Tough two-way guard that competes on every possession.
Josiah Clay
Global Concepts, 6'0", 2027
Fresh off helping Global Concepts capture its first-ever sectional championship, Clay brought the same toughness and energy that helped fuel that run. He prides himself on the defensive end, where he competes hard and impacts the game with his effort. Offensively, he showed some athleticism and was effective getting inside to score.
Christian Oathout
Honeoye Falls-Lima, 6'0", 2029
One of the youngest players in attendance, Oathout showed why he's a name to keep an eye on in Western New York's 2029 class. The guard is a capable shooter with a high release that allows him to get shots off cleanly from the perimeter. He can attack hard closeouts, get to his pull-up in the mid-range, and is comfortable knocking down catch-and-shoot threes. Plenty of time on his side with an already intriguing skill set.
Roman Maldonado
West Irondequoit, 6'1", 2027
Maldonado commanded the floor throughout his outing, looking every bit the part of a lead guard. He's a smooth ballhandler with some tricks to his game that allow him to create space and keep defenders guessing. His passing ability stood out as he consistently racked up assists and created opportunities for teammates. When defenses backed off, he showed he could make shots as well.
Navant Harrison
Vertus HS, 6'6", 2027
Harrison brings a massive frame to the floor and uses it well to establish position inside. He consistently pushed defenders off their spots, creating opportunities around the basket and on the glass. The 6'6" forward rebounds the ball in bunches and embraces the physical side of the game. His size and strength project well to the five spot at the next level.
Russell Ellis
Greece Athena, 5'10", 2027
Ellis is a crafty scoring guard who knows how to create space with the ball in his hands. He shook defenders off the dribble repeatedly and seamlessly rose into jumpers throughout the day. His ability to get to step-back mid-range shots was particularly impressive, as he can knock them down at a high rate. Mixed in some tough finishes off the glass as well, showing good touch around the basket.
Ethan Wachter
Pittsford Sutherland, 6'1", 2027
Wachter showed a polished offensive game with the ball in his hands. He was effective attacking off the bounce, scoring on cuts to the basket, and finishing through contact when opportunities presented themselves. As a playmaker, he did a nice job feeding post players and making reads from the perimeter.
