Once again the Hoop Mountain Spring Classic included top talent from around New England and a plethora of college coaches as the walls of Mass Premier Courts in Foxboro, Massachusetts were lined with division II and III coaches. One week after landing a commitment from St. Thomas More post-graduate Roy Mabrey and St. Anselm has completed their backcourt of the future with another commitment, this time from Suffield Academy post-graduate Andre King. Lee Academy power forward Chen Cai made a verbal commitment to Loyola of Maryland and head coach Jimmy Pastos on Thursday. Cai arrived in Lee this fall after a succesful high school career in San Diego after coming to the United States from his native country of China. Brown University head coach Jesse Agel landed a commitment from Jon Schmidt earlier this week. Schmidt is a six-foot-seven forward from the Friends School in Maryland. Schmidt averaged 24 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 assists this year and recovered from a torn hamstring that he suffered while running with Nike's Baltimore Elite AAU squad.
