Final Vermont 2011 Rankings Announced

Fresh off their breakout season, Vermont Academy holds the two highest ranked players in Vermont as Ryan Romich and Keron Deshields are both close to fulfilling their division I aspirations.  Romich arrived at Vermont as a post-graduate from Groton-Dunstable High School in Massachusetts and continued to develop his perimeter skills while showing his trademark athleticism and high motor along the frontline.  Deshields ran the show for VA and proved himself to be a very dangerous attacking lead guard and college… READ MORE >

MCW Wins McDonald’s Skills Competition

Michael Carter-Williams and Khem Birch are both in Chicago this week for the McDonald's All-American Game.  The festivities kicked off on Monday night with the skills competition on ESPN2 and Carter-Williams took home first place, completing a course that consisted of shooting, passing, and ball-handling challenges in 26.2 seconds.  Coming in second place was Texas bound guard Myck Kabongo who finished the course in 31.8 seconds followed by Bradley Beal at 32.9 seconcds.  The McDonald's All-American game will air Wednesday… READ MORE >

Byrd Division I Bound

Former Lynn English star Jarell Byrd has realized his division I dream with his commitment to Wofford.  Byrd averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds during his senior season at English and has proven to be a sparkplug for a St. Thomas More team that captured the National Prep Championship earlier this month.  Wofford, who had been recruited Byrd for the better part of the year, took the Southern Conference championship this year and advanced to the NCAA tournament before falling… READ MORE >

Laguerre Heads to Miami for All-Star Game

New Hampshire native Jordan Laguerre is in Miami, Florida this weekend for the annual Jack Jones Shootout, one of the nation’s premier all-star games.  This year’s game is being held at the American Airlines Arena, home of the Miami Heat.  Selected players and coaches arrived in Miami on Friday, where they had their opening practice and then watched the Heat take on the Philadelphia 76’ers.  Saturday began with a community service project as the all-stars coached in the Jack Jones… READ MORE >

Stauskas Picks Michigan

Quite a Week for Green

These last couple of weeks have been quite eventful for Bishop Guertin’s Connor Green. In the span of seven day the 6’4” swingman has won a state championship, a slew of individual awards, and also committed to a school for next year. Not a bad week at all. Gatorade Announces Players of Year
