Big Men Pick Quinnipiac

Quinnipiac scored two important 11th hour commitments yesterday, solidifying their frontcourt with the additions of Marques Barnett, a six-foot-seven big man from Cardozo High School in New York, and Justin Harris, a six-foot-eight forward from Paramus Catholic in New Jersey.

Barnett visited Quinnipiac's campus two weeks ago on his way to the Providence Jam Fest where he starred for a New Heights team that advanced all the way to the finals before falling to the New England Playaz. He is a rugged and hard-working post player who arrives in Hamden with a tremendous story, having survived a tough upbringing and overcoming long odds to get to the point he is today.

Harris was the best left available prospect in New Jersey according to NJ Hoops and comes to Quannipiac after being a three year starter at Paramus Catholic.  A six-foot-eight interior scorer, Harris averaged close to 18 points and 12 rebounds during his senior season and ultimately selected the Bobcats over East Carolina.
