Commitment Catch-Up (5/29/26)

Anthony DeJohn, Worcester Academy (MA) Committed to Endicott

Anthony DeJohn is a 6’4 guard who brings athleticism, toughness, and scoring prowess to the college level. He plays with a high motor on both ends of the floor, utilizing his strength and athletic ability to finish through contact, attack the glass, and finish plays around the rim. On the offensive end, DeJohn is a dangerous catch and shoot threat who also has the skill set to create space off the bounce and score inside the arc when defenders run him off the line. His size and physicality alone allow him to get to his spots, but he pairs those tools with his excellent footwork and body control to help him finish through traffic. Defensively, he competes with energy, stays in front of his matchup in space, and is consistently doing the little things, including taking charges and battling with the bigs on the boards. With his two-way tools and shot-making, DeJohn should be a valuable addition to Endicott.

Cooper Steele, Northwest Catholic HS (CT) Committed to Eastern Connecticut

Cooper Steele is a high IQ, skilled lead guard from Northwest Catholic who brings a strong feel for the game and the confidence to run the show for a team. He excels at seeing the floor, consistently makes the right reads, and creates quality looks for teammates, especially in the P&R. Steele is more than just a playmaker. He is also a reliable shot-maker who can hit shots from the perimeter, create for himself off the bounce, and use his quick burst to make his way into the paint and operate from there. Although he may not have elite positional size, he more than makes up for it with pace, toughness, and a competitive mindset on both ends of the floor. His IQ, shooting, and playmaking should prove to be very beneficial to the Eastern Connecticut program.

Zion Williams, Phillips Academy (MA) Committed to Dickinson

Zion Williams is a 6’3 guard who offers a well-rounded offensive skillset and great defensive value to a backcourt. He uses his size and strength to get downhill, finish at the rim, and play through contact, while simultaneously burning defenses with his outside shot. Williams can create for himself off the dribble, be the primary ball handler in ball-screen actions, and make the right reads when secondary defenders collapse. He plays the game at a good pace, which allows him to score in different areas of the floor without getting sped up. On the defensive end, both his strength and size versatility give him the ability to guard multiple perimeter positions and take on tough matchups. With his shot-making ability from the outside, physical tools, and positional size, Williams should be a strong addition to Dickinson.

Byron Robertson Jr., Burlington HS (VT) Committed to Colby-Sawyer

Byron Robertson Jr. is a 6’0 guard from Burlington HS who brings leadership, patience, and two-way production to a backcourt. He has a great feel for the game as a lead guard and the son of a coach, showing the poise to organize an offense, get his teammates involved, and create off the bounce for himself when needed. Robertson has the ability to score at all three levels, including from behind the arc, while also using his handle and stop-and-start ability to get into the paint and make the right play. Defensively, he stands out with his motor, toughness, and willingness to take on difficult assignments. After helping Burlington win a championship, his steady presence, playmaking, and competitive edge should make him a valuable addition to the Colby-Sawyer basketball program.

Sam Mayfield, Pope Francis HS (MA) Committed to Bridgewater State

Sam Mayfield is a 6’6 forward from Pope Francis HS who brings great size, high-level athleticism, and excellent touch around the rim. He puts pressure on defenses with his ability to run the floor, finish above the rim, and be a constant presence in the paint. He also excels at drawing contact and creating extra possessions for his team with relentless effort on the offensive glass. Mayfield has the coveted combination of good hands, fluidity in his movement at 6 '6, and can make plays as a passer when defenses collapse around him. Defensively, he gives his team a true presence that deters opponents from going inside with his shot-blocking ability and ability to take over space around the rim. With his physical tools, activity level, and upside as a frontcourt piece, Mayfield will be a strong addition to Bridgewater State.

Grant Cieplicki, Canterbury (CT) Committed to Babson

Grant Cieplicki is a 6 '6 wing Canterbury product who originally hails from Vermont. He will bring toughness, versatility, and winning experience to the next level. A state champion at Rice Memorial before finishing his career at Canterbury, he impacts the game in a lot of different ways. He has a knack for rebounding the ball, and can defend multiple positions. He has also proven to be an effective offensive asset without needing the ball in his hands. On the offensive end of the floor, Cieplicki can stretch the floor as a shooter, score around the basket, and take advantage of mismatches with his size and physical build. He is relentless on the glass, where he creates extra possessions and turns effort plays into points by simply wanting it more. With his competitiveness, motor, and diverse skillset, Cieplicki should be a valuable addition to a respected Babson program.
