Evaluation Period Starts Friday

Less than five days after the college basketball season came to an end, the evaluation begins on Friday night, meaning college coaches will be permitted to be out watching grassroots style events that have been certified by the NCAA. A trio of MIAA products announced their decisions on Thursday as Mansfield swingman Ryan Boulter, Durfee forward Tyree Robinson and former Catholic Memorial guard Aamahne Santos all finalized their plans. Ajayi Comes off Board

One of the best players left on the board in the 2015 class made his decision on Tuesday night as Cheshire Academy post-graduate Josh Ajayi committed to South Alabama. Cheshire’s Peterson to Montreal’s McGill

Mobley Prepping at Exeter

One of the top players in the MIAA this season will spend a year in the prep ranks before making his college decision. Tommy Mobley, who had terrific career at Newton North punctuated by a huge senior season, will do a post-graduate year at Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire. Wakefield’s Calnan Makes Call

Wakefield High School (MA) guard Chris Calnan has committed to Plymouth State University where he will play for head coach Andrew Novick.  Calnan was a four year varsity player at Wakefield who averaged 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists per season as a senior and helped lead the squad back to the MIAA state tournament.
