Hartnett Chooses Salem State

Saint Clements (MA) swingman Jack Hartnett has committed to Salem State University where he will play for Coach Chris Harvey.

Hartnett averaged 11 points per game this season and helped Saint Clements make another deep run in the MIAA state tournament after helping to lead the team to their first state championship in the school’s 89 year history as a junior.

"Jack is a tremendous player but he still has so much room to grow" Mass Elite head coach and program director Eric Polli said.  "He is a late bloomer. The best is yet to come. He has the opportunity to be a really good college basketball player.”

Hartnett is a physical player on the wing with a college ready body who has the ability to make tough mid-range pull-ups and physical dribble drives alike.

He joins fell Mass Elite teammate Brendan Bouthilette who also committed to Salem State last month.

"Coach Harvey added two really good players and also two awesome kids this with Jack and Brendan,” Polli added. “Chris is also a great coach and they both going to learn a lot from him."
