Here are some of the highlights from the day’s action:Expressions Elite Wins 17 and Under ChampionshipExpressions trailed the entire game against a very good Jersey Shore Warriors team. Anytime a division III school can convince a player to turn down a scholarship, they are getting a steal. Typically, the programs that attempt to compete at the national level attempt to land one player like this a year. To land two in the same year gives them a terrific recruiting class.Well this year Trinity College has received commitments from not one, not two, but four players who had opportunities to play at the scholarship level. With Jon Pike, Andrew…

Gaby Belardo has come full circle. When he arrived at Notre Dame Prep in the fall it was thought that he would be one of the program’s most highly recruited players this year. But after facing some nagging injuries and struggling to find a role in Notre Dame’s system, his season didn’t pan out the way most had expected. To his credit he continued to persevere and finally got the opportunity to shine when playing at the Kingwood Classic in…

Tom Crean may have only recently arrived at Indiana, but he has been recruiting Maurice Creek for a long time. It is a great situation for me.” The D.C. native felt comfortable committing…

Chauncey Gilliam’s recruitment has been a long and windy road. It was almost 18 months ago that Gilliam thought the process was behind him when he committed to the University of Albany during his senior season at Leap Academy in New Jersey. Little did he know that was just the beginning. Gilliam ended up de-committing from Albany and heading to Brewster Academy for a post-graduate year, where he has had the opportunity to be evaluated by hundreds of college coaches. …

When Larry Anderson committed to Long Beach State it was a steal for sure, but at least one that could be traced back to Anderson’s California roots. How the 49ers were also able to land another steal in St. Thomas More’s T.J. Robinson is a flat out mystery. Robinson is from Connecticut and starred at Kolbe Cathedral High School (Bridgeport, CT) for four years before arriving at St. Thomas More (Oakdale, CT) this year for his post-graduate work. Like Anderson,…
